What is Campers on Mission?

Campers on Mission (COM) is a national fellowship of Christian campers who share their faith while they camp. Sponsored by the Adult Volunteer Mobilization (AVM) unit of the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention, membership is open to Christian campers of all denominations. There is no membership fee.

What do Campers on Mission do?

COM accept short-term volunteer assignments across the United States and Canada. From state fairs and motor speedways to rural campgrounds, COM combine a love of the outdoors with ministry across North America.

We camp! Twice a year COM in Michigan gather for a spring rally and a fall rally. These rallies are a great time of camping and fellowship with others from around the state. Check below to find information about future rallies.

Who can join Campers on Mission?

Any adult! Whether single, retired, or newly married, camping enables you to be flexible in witnessing beyond the walls of the church. COM is family friendly and provides a great way to experience the relaxation of vacation with the satisfaction of a mission project. It’s a great pathway to become an on mission family.
