Evangelism Grant Request Form

Because Southern Baptist churches in Michigan and beyond give sacrificially through the Cooperative Program, the Baptist State Convention of Michigan is able to provide Evangelism Grants to assist churches as they engage their communities with the Gospel.

To be eligible for an Evangelism Grant, a BSCM church must meet each of following three criteria:

Support the vision, mission and doctrinal statement of the BSCM.
Give regularly through the Cooperative Program (as evidenced in the last year).
Be up to date in submitting an Annual Church Profile (ACP). Contact dan@bscm.org to update your ACP.

Evangelism Grants are awarded based on a clear evangelistic strategy that includes:

A specific prayer emphasis surrounding the event
Evangelism training
A clear strategy of how the Gospel will be shared
A follow-up/continuing cultivation plan
Local church investment

Cooperating churches can potentially receive two evangelism grants per calendar year up to $1,000.00 each. Grants are only available as the budget allows. (Please note that we do not use Evangelism Grants for food distribution, to buy equipment, make building repairs, or to fund church ministries.) Contact mike@bscm.org for more information.

PRAYER STRATEGY: Knowing that prayer is essential, describe your prayer strategy? How will you involve your church family in concerted evangelistic prayer for people to encounter Christ through the event?

EVANGELISM STRATEGY: What is your evangelism strategy for the event? How are you going to share the Gospel during the evangelistic effort?

EVANGELISM TRAINING: Evangelism training is an expected part of the grant approval process. How will the church be equipped to share the Gospel? Please describe the specific tool or training method that will be used. When is the training scheduled?

How much are you requesting from the BSCM? ($1,000 maximum)

How will you collect names/contact information from those who participate?

What is your follow-up plan/continuing connection plan? How will you cultivate relationships?
